Louder News: Mallory Knox release 'Livewire' and announce new album
Mallory Knox are no strangers to misery and their new single “Livewire” - taken from their upcoming Self Titled album released August 16th - doesn’t shy away from that. In fact, it embraces it. Written by vocalist and guitarist Sam Douglas after a 'Particularly miserable day’ it’s no surprise that, hidden amongst the gritty vocals and rich guitar riffs, the lyrics contain a lot of pain and grievance. Douglas’ cries of “I’m a livewire, hanging on the end of a rope” carry a cathartic frustration that the Cambridge rockers fourth album so well embodies.
The albums release also sees the group embarking on an extensive headline UK tour, including a hometown release show kicking off the run, which is sure to carry as much energy and heat as - excuse the pun - a live wire.
