Heavy Music Awards 2019 at O2 Kentish Town Forum, 22/08/2019

Another year, another August, and another time to roll out the red carpet for one of the best and heaviest celebration of music! For its third year running, and third host venue, the Heavy Music Awards were back in action late Thursday night. Every walk of life that adored rock, metal, and alternative music gathered in Kentish Town to witness this celebration of all that was performed and released in 2018 and also support those up and coming names that were performing that night.
To kick things off, Delaire The Liar and Nova Twins performed their best and livened up the crowd to bring the energy up even at the beginning of the event! Both playing extremely well, and delivering the needed opening for an event like this. This was also fitting for the host, Laura Jane Grace, to begin announcing the first half of winners that night before LOATHE came on and kicked the door down with their ferocious style and energy that practically set the venue ablaze as the audience went wild for their music. After the rest of the winners were announced, the final band of the night, Cancer Bats, who surprised a lot of those in attendance with a fantastic rock energy and vibe that was needed to close the night out.
Overall, another brilliant night for the third year running, showing how each year gets better and better. Not just in the bands selected to perform, but also in what the event provides to those attending and everything they do to include the whole music industry, including fans. Another great year, and hopefully more brilliance to look forward to.
