LOUDER NEWS: Canadian rocker JJ WILDE announces new EP, Wilde, to be released 14th May
The New Wave of Classic Rock is getting stronger as the year goes on, and it’s getting better as Canadian rocker, JJ Wilde, has announced her 2nd EP to be released Friday 14th May.
The EP will include the hit singles, “Best Boy” and “Mercy”, as well as a cover of Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s “Stop Draggin' My Heart Around” with the band, The Glorious Sons.
Her most recent release, her debut album Ruthless, was released in 2020, and has since been nominated for Best Rock Album in the JUNO Awards. She has also been nominated for a number of 2021 Independent Album Awards, including Video Of The Year for “Best Boy” and Song of the Year for “The Rush”.
Wilde is also the first the first female artist to simultaneously hit No.1 on all three Canadian rock charts with "The Rush". The songs "Mercy" and "Best Boy" have also reached the No.1 spot on the rock charts in Canada.
Speaking about the EP, Wilde says “These are feel good, fun songs. I hope it will give the listener an escape to turn to and reminisce on good times, or day dream of the brighter days ahead.”
The EP will contain 6 songs in total and will be made available on all streaming websites Friday 14th May. JJ Wilde will also be performing at Download Festival in June 2022.
