LOUDER NEWS: ICE NINE KILLS RELEASE VIDEO FOR ‘HIP TO BE SCARED’, ANNOUNCE NEXT ALBUM

ICE NINE KILLS are certainly a band to keep people on their toes with their brand of horror-inspired metal. With the success of The Silver Scream from 2017, it’s no surprise that there would be screams (in a good way!) for more. And did they deliver!

Along with the announcement of The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood, the band released the American Psycho inspired “Hip To Be Scared” featuring Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix along with a music video for the track depicting the Mary Haron directed film.

With the title inspired by the Huey Lewis song featured in the film and including adapted dialogue from the film poking fun at their own sound, the fiery track from ICE NINE KILLS is a love letter to the film and shows that there are many more films and horror stories for the band to adapt to their music and still produce amazing tracks that showcase the band’s talent.

The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood is set to release 15th October 2021 and the band is scheduled to perform at Slam Dunk 2021 this September. Whilst there is the old adage that the sequel is never as good as the original, judging by this latest track from them, ICE NINE KILLS are set to prove that wrong.
